The top five teams from Group A and Group B combined will progress to the knockouts with the top two from Group C and the top team from the plate group joining them. With some of India's regulars expected to feature this time, we could well in store for a very competitive tournament in the league stage.

Faf du Plessis has endorsed South Africa's new power structure, which was installed less than three weeks before he is due to lead his team in a men's Test series against England. CSA Mess
Push came to shove for Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Friday (December 6) when the national men's team's title sponsor announced the imminent end of their involvement with the organization. The decision has everything to do with the toxicity of being aligned to a game in deepening crisis, and that is likely to hamper cricket's ability to secure new backing.

Even superheroes are not infallible nor undefeatable and will have to sometimes find their way out. It's a theme that isn't often brought into the spotlight. If you'd look for a cricketing equivalent of the finale of Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight', then maybe Virat Kohli's Hyderabad knock in the first T20I against West Indies could feature as an option. Even Kohli wouldn't advise youngsters watching to pick up anything from the first half of his career-best T20I score.

Some of Thabang Moroe's best friends are Cricket South Africa (CSA) board members. But the previously strong bond between Moroe and CSA's president, Chris Nenzani, has been broken. Now Moroe's remaining allies on the board are aiming Nenzani for the mess the game is in. That is hardly surprising considering other alliances will need to be strengthened before Nenzani, having overstayed his welcome by a year, vacates his position in 2020.
