Chloe Tryon veered South Africa to victory with 34 runs off just 16 balls, in Wellington’s third Women’s T-20 Match and still with one ball remaining. With two matches still left to play, the series remains alive.

Tyron entered the crease as South Africa was still thirsty at 52 off 33 balls. With a one-off Sophie Devine, she leveled the equation to just 8 off 4 balls, when she lifted the bat to cover three sixes and two fours.

It was only due to this achievement that the series was not taken away by New Zealand, at 3-0.
Devine, by the end, had scored 77 off 57 balls and downed two of the New Zealand Vs South Africa Women’s openers in the powerplay. With more contributions such as 20 runs off 15 balls by Marizanne Kapp, Women’s T-20 Match the South Africans stayed in the game.

Dane van Niekerk and Mignon du Preez scored 42 off 40 and 23 off 22, respectively. The Kerr sisters also displayed some fantastic bowling, with leg spinner Amelia at 4-0-17-1 and medium-pacer Jessica at 3-0-14-0. The leash was extremely tight till Tyron intervened with a surgical bat. With 7 fours and 4 sixes, Devine had already set the stage for New Zealand, scoring well above her counterparts.

New Zealand Vs South Africa Women’s was still 130 for 4 when SuneLuus led her away from the crease and there were just 19 balls left to complete their innings. The middle-order did show aggression with 23 runs coming off these 19 balls with AyabongaKhaka and Shabnim Ismail.
