Sunday’s win has brought a big gap between the two teams in this 50-over format. India is leading 7-2 from the last 10 games that were played with only one tie at Visakhapatnam in the 2018 series. The recent match was all about Virat Kohli, the humidity and his century.

Team India is already on a winning spree and would not want to change its combination just yet. Since he came back from his thumb injury (which also limited his World Cup 2019 participation), Shikhar Dhawan is not seen on the pitch. Another opportunity will be granted to the left-hander by the team management to get back to his form.

Probable Playing XI
Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant(w), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, K Khaleel Ahmed

Chris Gayle became the highest run-scorer for the West Indies team in the 50-over format. As he played his 300th ODI he also went beyond Brian Lara’s tally. Currently, the West Indies form is rather patchy, and questions are going around if West Indies is going in for a replacement at the top. If that be the case, then Fabian Allen would appear replacing Oshane Thomas, if he is fit. Even John Campbell could be called in to play a game ahead of the Test series.

Probable Playing XI
Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle / John Campbell, Shai Hope (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran, Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Craig Brathwaite, Fabian Allen, Sheldon Cottrell, Kemar Roach.

The surface is going to get slower and slower with the progression of the match (as it did in the second match). It is also one of those pitches where if the captain wins the toss, he would choose to bat first.
