BCCI issues notice to the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and the batting maestro VVS Laxman for alleged ‘conflict of interest’ with their involvement in Indian Premier league as well as Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC).
The legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been the mentor for Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise and likewise, VVS Laxman is also the mentor for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise in IPL. As well as both of them are a member of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) which led to the conflict.
DK Jain, BCCI’s Ombudsman and Ethics Officer served these notices to them. This is the 3rd case filed after former skipper and Indian team captain Sourav Ganguly for his triple role as president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), member of Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) and mentor of Delhi Capitals (DC).
Both Sachin and Laxman are requested to file their written response to the complaint, along with a duly executed affidavit, on or before April 28, 2019.
