The 5th match of Vivo IPL 2019, between Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings, took place at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi. Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose to bat first.

Delhi Capitals (DC)

Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan opened up the batting for the Delhi team. Prithvi Shaw summed up 24 runs of 16 balls and was caught out by Watson in a ball bowled by Deepak Chahar. Following him the captain of Delhi Capitals, Shreyas Iyer took the field and scored 18 (20) before made out by Imran Tahir.

Then came the power hitter Rishabh Pant, he partnered up with Dhawan and lifted the team score to 120. Dwayne Bravo who came to bowl for CSK grabbed Pant’s and Colin Ingram’s wicket. Then he came back again to bowl the 17th over and took down Dhawan’s wicket. Finally, Delhi Capitals managed to score 147/6 (20 Overs).

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

With a target of 148 to chase, Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu opened the batting for CSK. Rayudu was caught out by Shreyas Iyer and Watson being stumped by Pant, the team’s total score was 73-2. Later MS Dhoni managed to score 32 (35) and remained on the field. At last Dwayne Bravo finished off the match with a boundary. CSK won by 6 wickets with 2 balls left by 150/4 (19.4 Overs).
