The 2019 IPL festival has just begun with the most thrilling and awaited match CSK vs RCB showing up. After almost 3 years, IPL match is being conducted in Chennai chepauk MA Chidambaram stadium. Though Virat Kohli’s team has come with their eyes aiming for the IPL trophy, CSK once again showed up their magnificent power of winning this season start match by 7 wickets (14 balls left). CSK won the toss and opted to bowl/ field and the match started at 8.00 pm IST. Opener Parthiv Patel with 29 runs top-scored for RCB. Skipper Virat Kohli failed to impress as he was dismissed for six runs at the opening slot. Imran Tahir (3-9) and Harbhajan Singh (3-20) claimed three wickets each in the opening match of the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, as Chennai Super Kings bundled Royal Challengers Bangalore for paltry 70 runs. Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets, while Dwayne Bravo claimed the final wicket as RCB’s star-studded batting-line-up was enveloped in 17.1 overs.

Chasing an easy target of 71 runs, with no twist in the match, CSK’s Ambati Rayudu and Shane started batting. RCB puts a good defense dismissing Watson for a duck. Chinna Thala Suresh Raina becomes the first batsman to score 5000 IPL runs (177 matches). With 3 wickets lost, the CSK players took the team close to victory. Rayudu 28 (42) was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj. Chennai Super Kings defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore with 71 runs for 3 wickets in 17.4 overs.
