In the second day of the 3rd Test between India and Australia held in Melbourne Cricket Ground, Cheteshwar Pujara scored (106) his second ton of the series. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also scored the fifties as India declared scoring a massive 443 runs. Pujara’s partnership with Kohli for a stand of 170 for the third wicket set India for a big total in the first innings.
Mayank Agarwal & Pujara showed a wonderful partnership on the first day of the 3rd Test. Likewise, on the second day of the Test, the two overnight batsmen Pujara and Kohli put up a great partnership.
Kohli hit a fifty in the first over of the day and finally met his dismissal at the hands of Finch scoring 82 (204). The overnight batsman, Pujara’s play ended soon after Pat Cummins bowled him off stump scoring a 106 (319). However, Rohit Sharma managed to carry forward the team score to new heights contributing to an individual score of 63* (114).
The day 2 Stumps ended with Australia picking 8-0 (6) having Marcus Harris and Aaron Finch on the play.
