A few days back BCCI announced a change in the original squad for ODIs against the Windies. It states that Umesh Yadav will be replacing Shardul Thakur in the Indian squad for the first two ODI’s.
Shardul Thakur who made his Test debut in the first Test against Windies in Hyderabad got a right adductor tendon injury that day. It seems that the Mumbai pacer will be out of action for the entire ODI series. Thakur was forced to leave the field due to a groin strain after facing the first ten deliveries of his Test debut.
The new squad list for the first two ODIs is as follows:
Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma (vc), Shikhar Dhawan, MS Dhoni (wk), KL Rahul, Ambati Rayudu, Manish Pandey, Umesh Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Khaleel Ahmed.
