For the first time in the TNPL history, sixteen outstation players will be participating in this third season. It seems Hanuma Vihari, Sheldon Jackson, Unmukt Chand, Dharmendra Jadeja, Shorab Dhaliwal, Amit Verma, Raiphi Vincent Gomez and Shaurya Sanandia are some of the players who might take part in the upcoming league.
It is expected that each franchise will be provided with 2 outstation players which will increase the standard of cricket and level of competition. It was announced in the TNCA press release held earlier today, the norms for outstation players state that they have to be uncapped and should not have participated in IPL 2018. Also, the players are requested to obtain a NOC from their respective state associations to take part in TNPL.
This idea of allowing outstation players to take part in the league came into effect during the BCCI’s special general body meeting that took place on 22-Jun-18. Also, the franchise will be allowed to use both of their outstation players in their final playing XI.
