Bumrah ruled out of England T20, ODI series

The Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah had suffered an injury to his thumb on the non-bowling hand during the first T20I against Ireland. He got injured while trying to stop a ball on his run-up. He did not train the following day and was on rest during the second game of the series. So, he has been ruled out of the three-match T20I series against England.

When Bumrah underwent a scan of his injured hand, the results revealed a fracture. During his absence, Deepak Chahar will be replacing him in the T20I squad for England. Also, Washington Sundar has been ruled out of both the T20I and ODI series because of a right ankle injury. He got injured while playing football during India’s practice session in Malahide.

It is announced that Krunal Pandya and Axar Patel, the spin bowling all-rounders will replace Sundar during the T20I and ODI series. Both of them are already playing for the Indian A-team in the tri-series. The first match of the T20I series is set to begin on July 3 at Old Trafford.
