The first T20 International match between India and Ireland took place at Dublin yesterday. It was a big start, India won the match by 76 runs. Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl. During the initial overs, Indian team openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan showed us some real performance. Sharma scored 97 runs and Dhawan scored 74 runs which played the cornerstone of our victory.
At the end of the first innings, India scored 208/5. Later on, when Ireland team started to bat, James Shannon scored 60 runs from 35 balls. With that one half-century from Shannon, the Ireland team score started building up. But the witty Indian bowlers Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah displayed their great spells and took maximum wickets.
This led to the fall of wickets for Ireland. At the end of the game, they were able to secure 132/9. Thus the Indian team overpowered Ireland during their first match leading to a victory by 76 runs.
