Earlier today the women in blue played against the New Zealand women’s team, they lost the battle and New Zealand women sealed away the match for 23 runs. Following this, the Indian men’s team who went into the play has also lost their first T20I match of the series.

The wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and all-rounder Krunal Pandya are back in the squad.
The New Zealand team put forth a tremendous performance in today’s match scoring a total of 219/6 at the end of 20 overs. The Player of the Match “Tim Seifert” earned the top-score of 84 for the kiwis. Chasing a target of 220, India didn’t seem to have a good start. The openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan fall apart in the earliest overs itself.
Team India faced the biggest defeat today scoring just 139-all out in 19.2 overs. MS Dhoni (39) was the top scorer for India today and was sent off the field by Tim Southee in the last ball of 18th over.
