History of Asia Cricket Cup

The Asia Cup is the biggest cricket tournament in the whole of Asia which is a men’s One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) tournament. This tournament was established by the Asian Cricket Council ACC to be held every two years as a measure to promote goodwill between the Asian countries through cricket. The first edition of Asia Cup was held in 1984 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The most recent and 14th edition of Asia Cup tournament is scheduled to be held in UAE for the third time on September 2018.
